Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 22, 2026Mystery Bite is a digital entertainment platform sharing Chinese culinary culture through "blind box" mechanics, digital card collecting, and educational content.
- Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
- Prohibited Actions: You agree not to reverse-engineer the code, manipulate the "blind box" probabilities using external tools, or farm cards using bots.
Mystery Bite offers two distinct types of In-App Purchases. All transactions are final and non-refundable by the developer.
3.1 Functional Upgrades
- Unlimited Access ($9.99): This is a one-time purchase that removes the daily limit on opening blind boxes. It is a functional unlock separate from the Support Tiers.
3.2 Support Project (Voluntary Tipping)
We offer voluntary support tiers for users who wish to contribute to this independent cultural project. These purchases may unlock specific digital badges (e.g., "Supporter", "Founding Supporter") but are primarily donations to the developer:
- Tier 1 ($1.95): "Buy us a cup of tea" – A small tip to support the journey.
- Tier 2 ($4.95): "Support cultural translation" – Supports the translation of Chinese culture.
- Tier 3 ($9.95): "Founding Supporter" – Registers you as a founding supporter.
- Tier 4 ($19.95): "Cultural Patron" – A contribution for long-term cultural exploration.
3.3 Free Rewards
- Users may obtain limited free draw attempts by sharing food card images on social media or watching optional video advertisements via Google AdMob.
3.4 Payment & Refunds
- All payments are processed via your Apple ID or Google Play Account.
- Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
Original artwork, UI designs, and text are owned by the developer. You are granted a limited license to share generated food card images on social media for personal, non-commercial use.
- Educational Purpose: Recipes and cultural descriptions are for entertainment only, not professional advice.
- Allergy Warning: It is your sole responsibility to identify allergens (e.g., peanuts, seafood, soy).
- Assumption of Risk: Cooking involves heat and sharp tools. You assume all risks associated with preparing food featured in the App.
- "High Adventure" Foods: Certain cultural foods may not be suitable for all dietary constitutions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including physical injury, data loss, or technical malfunctions.
We are not responsible for the content or policies of third-party platforms (e.g., TikTok, Xiaohongshu) linked within the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is located.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
